BHFC DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY

What is it?

As well as the usual match days and team training, Beacon Hill FC offers the BHFC Development Academy. This is a weekly session for each age group during a school term, plus a separate workshop run during school holidays. All Beacon Hill male and female players from Under 6 to Under 13 are welcome to join. Each session offers professional training with fun and engaging skills and mini games. It will be intense but very rewarding. The professional coaches are excited to be working with BHFC and will deliver engaging football sessions to the players. Their goal is to develop creative and confident players who love training and playing football.

When is it on?

There is a weekly session during school term and a separate workshop during school holidays. See below for upcoming sessions.

Some admin points

Unless otherwise notified, Academy sessions are held at Beacon Hill Oval.
Wet weather cancellations will be made up during the school holidays, or other arrangements may be made.
Registration for any of the BHFC Academy programs is available at www.playfootball.com.au. Use your previous login details and select the desired BHFC Academy product.
If you are purchasing shorts and socks for Academy, please do this with the Academy registration.
We ask that players arrive 15 minutes before the session start time, and bring shin pads, football boots, and plenty of water. Due to COVID-19 requirements we ask that all parents maintain social distancing.

Term 4 Skills Academy

Lucas Brandow and the Brazilian Soccer Schools will be running the BHFC Skills Academy for school term 4. Details are:

WHEN: FRIDAYS from 14.Oct to 16.Dec (10 sessions for $180)

WHERE : Tristram Reserve

TIME: ages 5-8 >> 4pm, ages 9+ >> 5pm

Past Sessions

Term 3 Skills Academy

Lucas Brandow, one of our BHFC Premier League players, will be bringing the Brazilian Soccer Schools (BSS) approach to the Beacon Hill Skills academy. BSS has been operating within the Northern Beaches area for quite some time and is well established as a boutique soccer school. Term 3 has had to be cut short due to field availability clashes with the council, MWFA and summer sport.

WHEN : Every Thursday in August (4, 11, 18, 25)

TIME: ages 5-8 >> 4pm, ages 9+ >> 5pm

Thu.28.July FREE skills session

We are pleased to announce a new relationship for our Academy with Brazilian Soccer Schools (BSS). BSS has been operating within the Northern Beaches area for quite some time and is well established as a boutique soccer school. Most importantly, our very own Lucas Brandow, who plays with the BHFC Premier League team, is the local BSS coach. Many of you would notice Lucas playing on the field as he is easily identified through his skills, passion and flair that he brings to the game. We are extremely lucky to have Lucas on board coaching the kids.

As a special introductory offer to meet Lucas and BSS, with no strings attached, we are offering a FREE skills session. We are not only encouraging players to attend but would like to see entire teams turn up for this special event. Coaches and managers are strongly encouraged to watch and pick up training ideas for their own teams. We will also run a BBQ on the day.

And, just to be clear - free session, absolutely no strings attached.

TIME: age 6,7 @ 3.30pm, age 8,9,10 @ 4.30pm, age 11,12,13,14 @ 5.30pm

To register please reply to the email you should have received on 23.July from the BHFC registrar. If you didn't receive this email, contact bhfc.rego@gmail.com, put "ACADEMY OPEN DAY THU 28TH" as the subject, and include the name and age of any attending players/ or teams for the free session.

July school holidays Workshop

The BHFC July School Holiday Academy Workshop offers professional training with fun and engaging skills and mini games. It will be intense but very rewarding. Details are as follows:

Monday.11.July 9.30am - 1.30pm
Tuesday.12.July 9.30am - 1.30pm
One day costs $120 and both days are $170.
Open to all players inside and outside of BHFC, so invite your friends.
Held at Calabria Bowling Club, Campbell Pde, Manly Vale (LHS, just past Passmore Reserve).

Term 2 Academy

BHFC (school) Term 2 Academy training will occur at Beacon Hill Oval on Thursdays from 28.Apr to 30.Jun at the following times:

3:30 to 4:30pm: U6 and U7
4:30 to 5:30pm: U8-U10 and W8-W10
5:30 to 6:30pm: U11-U13 and W11-W13
